Team build is a well established method that helps groups within companies and institutions consolidate or build anew their relations among themselves or with outside actors, defining a structure, finding leadership, cohesion, a new and more effective way of working.
At the core of this working method lays experiantial training, that is growth through a direct shared experience, using games for teaching purposes.
Over the years, many events have been planned under the name of “team building” that actually diverged from its original contents, presenting it as a get-together, a vacation, a social outing, thus depriving it of its essence and shrinking its goal and potential. however, the development of relations among people and groups, either new or existing, can give new elements to evaluate works processes, increasing critical analysis, trust in others, through the joint quest for solutions to problems that can be better faced in a natural environment.
This is where relations get unhinged or reinforced, because everything is new and you introduce fatigue, a shared time, wind, sun, rain, the contact with soil, the trees, the grass, all the usual habits and reference taken away. this is where problem solving is challenged, where you get closer or drift apart, and everyone is challenged on the same level.
